On December 24, 1851, Leonardo Luigi Begalli, our grandfather, was born in Verona, Italy. From an early age, he learned his passion for farming from his family.

In 1896, Vô Leonardo arrived in Brazil with his wife, Giuseppa Begalli, and six children. They chose Minas Gerais to restart their lives after a weakened economy in Italy. From then on, our family began to build its experience in coffee growing in Minas Gerais. Soon, the family realized the rich terroir of the region, one of the best in the country for growing coffee.

Over the years, the family acquired new land and today we have large, traditional coffee estates around the south of Minas Gerais.

GLOBIO has consolidated the dream of expanding the frontiers of family coffee through three women who move among the producers, personalizing the experience of sharing exceptional quality coffee with the world.
